Meditation is transformative. It can release stress and create positive change within an individual very easily and naturally. Most people are caught up in trying to 'fix' themselves. They continually try to push the negative thoughts or emotions away. In doing so, they are pushing their reality away. Does it work? No. In fact, this forcing will cause the thoughts, emotions or situation to get more intense. As a result, day after day or year after year, nothing has changed. In fact, the stress, feeling of emptiness or discontment has most likely has gotten worse.
In meditation, you are not pushing anything anyway. Instead, you are making a choice to gently place your focus beyond the chatter and chaos of the mind, to deeper levels of the mind where there is complete Peace and Silence. You are allowing your mind and body to rest. What you focus on grows. So the more you meditate, the more you will begin to experience more contentment, relaxation and greater Self Love. You will be more present and aware throughout your busy day, and able to let go of stress with more ease. As a result, you are able to give more to others and to your life. This is living!
