Doctors recommend it. Millions of people practice it everyday. Why? Because meditation works.

Meditation is being embraced by people all over the world from all walks of life, and many employers are recognizing meditation as an effective tool to create positive change in their workplace.

Stress costs employers billions of dollars every year.
Stress is directly related to: sickness, reduced productivity, time off, accidents in the workplace, high turnover, sleep disorders, depression and conflicts.

Scientific research has proven that meditation has many benefits, including reducing stress.
Meditation quiets the mind, balances the left and right hemispheres of the brain, and clears stress from the nervous system. This enables a person to have more clarity and experience physical and mental well-being. As a result, they are able to handle pressures in their personal and professional life with much more ease, and communicate with more understanding and openness. Meditation can also improve a person's focus, making them more efficient at their job.  They are 'in the flow'.

However, when you have employees who are stressed-out, it is much harder to change their behaviour and the culture of the organization. You can have pep talks, introduce change management initiatives, but over time nothing changes. The same old patterns resurface time and time again and it's back to the ‘drawing board'. This takes a lot of time, energy and money.

If you want to change the culture within your organization, it is much more effective when your employees are balanced and they feel good about themselves and their workplace. When people are more positive and content, they have a willingness to work together, and when the morale goes up, the productivity goes up.

For the employer, meditation is performance-enhancing. For the employees, it creates greater job satisfaction and a higher quality of living. It is a win-win situation that does not require years of conflict resolution.
